I really like this one, it's very different from your usual works! Aside from my bias towards eyeless/robotic things, what makes this one stand out in terms of design is how functional it looks, the mechanical parts are integrated more naturally into the more organic metal shapes than how you paint your morphs (which looks more like humanoids wearing metal armor, it doesn't always look like i's a part of them.) Great detailing too, and I love how the exposed mechanical "muscles" follow the fiber directions in human anatomy but is still clearly mechanical.Β

[yes, the lurking thrax-monster can speak LOL!]
And I see! (And yes, makes sense - robots look strange when their designs aren't very functional.) I do like the "biomimicry" look though!
I recall you mentioning somewhere that the anthros are in part for anatomy practice. If it is your intent that the mechanical parts aren't integrated and worn like "clothes," then that works!

[Bwaahaha!!]
I see! And I can agree with the humans thing, I don't like drawing them either BUT I do sketch human anatomy studies for practice since they're so specialized as bipeds it's good reference. But I'll never draw human heads, I don't like drawing faces :'D

Skin tones and faces are something that I only practice in secret. Some day I will start to post them but idk if they will ever appear on this site. Anthros are fun because I can test a lot of different shapes, colors and lightings so freely.

Much more detail in this drawing, well done! But, is it be a robot, why add the mouth only?
