When I was in the army, so many many yrs ago they called me private Strange, no relation though. I guess Strang is just hard to pronounce. Haha its cool though Im used to it from everywhere else since I could remember. Ya get used to it.Related content

Why would ya do that? Im 33 myself, and you made it into the industry, that would be crazy to throw away Mel. Man that sounds crazy to me, I find it impossible to get in, you dont wanna poo poo that away, besides, I think 32 is too old for military induction.

I hear you on that! A friend of mine (42 years old) just signed up (army/intelligence)...ofcourse he's in top physical condition and scored perfect for his age group (he's a spinning instructor...no fair!). Havin' a blast. He was in a similar industry. The army deal is a back-up plan at this point. If everything in animation falls apart then, maybe.

Hm yeah didnt know they accepted that age. Man youre in at a good studio though arent ya? from what I hear the industry is doin good. besides I wouldnt want to be in todays warfare, fish in a barrel tactics, it aint right.

Nice buddy. I did not know you were in the Army. What was you MOS and who were you stationed at? I was a 97B, which is a counter intelligence agent, and was with 5th Special Forces out of Ft Campbell, KY.

Wow nice, Sprec Forces. 13 bravo/ artillery. Wanted to go Cav scout, infantry or even armor but complications with my eyes, but didnt matter anyways cause at the end of basic I was discharged cause of my damn feet. Hah I guess wasnt meant to be, goin through basic to figure that was pretty dumb hahha ahh well. Sucked leavin mhen the rest of my platoon went to AIT but thats how things go. Was gonna be in 10th mountain division, stationed at Ft Drum.

Yeah, I was young and dumb and full of cum. I have a little over 200 airborne jumps. My knees are pretty much shot. Like today, we had frozen rain and I woke up and I can't half walk. It really sucks.
Man, a Cav scout. That was my second choice. I wanted to ride atvs all over the place.
Well, I know it sucked that you did not get to do what you desired but I am sure God had a reason. If nothing less then us meeting. You inspire me and my work. I would have hated to miss out on that.

Man, thats one thing I really looked forward to was jump school, but alas. Yeah that will take its toll on the knees, just like at my job all the gettin on jumpin off takes its toll, lot of older conductors have had knee surgery. Well its no big deal, I just wanted the money, and the way the govt is run anymore, and how we re restricted in war now as ducks in a barrel, they can have it. Fightin with your hands tied is bullshit. Thanks Will, well thats the way things go.

Yeah, I don't regret being in the military. I think it taught me a lot but you are right. I would not want to have to fight in a war with my hands tied. It is nuts. Sometimes I think politicians have no clue. They really need to live in a war zone for about 6 months. Then their attitudes would change.
Knee surgery sucks. Once they work on them they will never be the same. I have no cartilege in either knee. So on cold damp days I can't even half walk. But I know once they operate on them that they will never be the same.
Keep the good work coming brutha. You inspire me to be a better artist and I am thankful for you.
