I swear, I've never seen these guys before until stumbling upon them today. and I'm madly in love...

I read somewhere for my submission a brief story was wanted so I came up with this, which I plan to be a two part submission. He actually doesn't have his scarf in this picture because he'll have it in his next one, I figured this could be how he gained his little Kanji namesake. That and I kinda wanted to show a 'non cute' pic of these adoreable guys before making something as fluffy and cute as my hands can draw... That an the downside of what happens to some pets, even exotic isn't shown all that often.

The little FoxFan had lived a good young life, however all good things would come to an end. His life couldn't be more perfect, really. Then one day his owner got sick, He couldn't understand why the woman wouldn't move anymore, why all these new people were in the house. Or how come everyone was so sad. He just sat and watched like a statue, only moving to curl up beside the old woman when everyone had left. Then one day many people came and took the woman away, The little FoxFan waited patiently and quietly behind the front door to the house knowing someone would open that door eventually. For a few weeks someone would come to bring him food and let him outside, but slowly people just stopped coming. The FoxFan was growing hungry and confused, and with that came a growing curiosity to find the old woman. He decided to go out and find her. The FoxFan pushed his head against the screen on a window she always kept open for him to see and smell the fresh air. It was as stubborn as him, but it eventually budged. With a newfound joy he freed himself from the home. The clouds were bellowing, a warning of a storm. But the little Fox was determined and set out and get something to eat. Unfortunatley he was young, and raised inside and knew nothing of the outside, soon he found himself entrapped in a snare. Stuck and unable to free his paw the little fox cried, an beckoned for help. Yowling for anyone to come find him an help, he only stopped once he heard footsteps in the distance. ( To be continued)
