Wen is a romantic guy, someone who sees beauty in all things and wants nothing more than to dance and enjoy life to it's fullest. And by fullest, I mean achieving everything in the best way possible, and be the best at doing it-- to be king is to truly enjoy life.

  His outlook on life tends to be extraordinarily positive, as a king can be expected of nothing less, leaving him with a very feels-good-is-good mindset. Though, it often leads him into trouble in regards to what is rational and what is not, something he had struggled with even before he was remixed but seems to now be increased tenfold-- especially towards other people he grows fond of. Once he associates himself with something, it becomes addictive to him and creates an incredibly clingy and overly-possessive nature. Because of past experiences with this, Wen has tendencies of paranoia and incredible abandonment issues. However strong these feelings may be, Wen rarely grows violent and instead becomes very self-deprecating towards himself and those that are involved in his affections.

Track description/interpretation:

The Original - A very upbeat dance-type track with heavy synthesized instrumentals. It could be considered a song you'd likely hear in a club with strobe lights and the works. The lyrics are overall positive and give a 'good feeling' vibe. Eventually, the song slows to a more sincere and delicate tone before dropping back into a hyped snare and dubstep-esc rhythm. Between that and the lyrics literally saying "Let's Dance", it definitely is a track to dance and let loose to if you want.

  The Remix - Even remixed, the track retains it's upbeat and enjoyable rhythm, still emphasizing how much of a song it is to dance to, but now with an added hip hop flair, along with a few vocal adjustments. Within the track, there still are vocal clips of "let's dance", "forever young", "here come the new kings", etc, but eventually there's an added clip that sounds incredibly similar to either "let the guts hang out/when the guts hang out". Otherwise from the possibly unsettling addition, it's a very catchy and enjoyable song.

          I wanted the song to be reflected both in Wen's personality and appearance. Obviously the crown and shawl are meant to give a royal atmosphere to him, and I figured it would only make sense for his character to be one that regards himself highly. The wings are representative of how being remixed has given him a constant 'high' of dancing and attention. The stitches are also meant to go with the line "When/let/where the guts hang out", but are also supposed to represent a flaw in Wen's appearance-- an 'ugly' fault received from his past that is only stitched closed and thus susceptible to being re-opened. Aside from the more obvious physical characteristics, I found the song to be fairly upbeat and recognizable, so I wanted Wen to follow that path in how he presents himself.

Wen was always a socialite. He was one with the crowds, a party animal that never cared so much for the party, but more the dancing and complexity of it all. The strobe lights, the moving bodies, the ability to let loose-- it was beautiful. The friends he made were beautiful as well, personality, appearance, everything. Wen's ego grew and he found himself striving for the best, anything for his friends, anything to be praised and recognized.

  He soon became rather popular, and his social circle grew and grew, and they danced and danced-- and then it all stopped. The smiling faces stopped, the beauty faded and Wen was left alone. All that he saw was an illusion. The smiles and kind words were nothing but lies and scams, a way to get what they wanted out of the song. He was a pawn, a cruel game for laughs.

Wen couldn't handle the treachery. He had done the best he could, gotten the best things, been the best company and tried his absolute hardest to appease these fake "friends", only to be left alone, as if he simply wasn't good enough. The song needed release, he needed to remember what it was like to feel alive. He heard of the DJ, and from then on he sought to become remixed, to refuel his fervor and let him dance freely once more. However, the remix brought upon more than just that, and now he is simply a song wrapped in eternal ignorance that can only survive on the attention from others-- something that can only be gained from the top of the tallest mountain. Now, Wen is left to dance the night away, spilling his guts if it means appeasing those around him. Friendship and affection are nothing more than blissful addictions.
