i also liked how the brushstrokes sort of helped give parts of it that skin-texture feel, sorta rough/weathered around some areas and softer on others (in a loose messy way haha)

Yeah, that's true! That's how it would be on a real foot, with some areas being a bit more rough while others are soft. Nice touch! Your shading and paint work is always just really well done.Β
