This beautiful baby is Shadow. He is a Great Horned Owl I helped raise so he could be a educational bird. His life started out hard and rough. He fell out of the nest when he was just a little fluff. And he wasn't a fledgling at all. My Uncles dog tried to kill him and we saved him in the nick of time. I knew he would be a challenge but i have hand raised meany wild animals that also were hard work. I have a permit to keep him so I can teach people about these beautiful birds. He is my buddy and I love him so. I thought I would post so beautiful photos I have of him.I am the one that is symbolized by wisdom
I am the one that sleeps by day and hunts by night
When nightfall surrounds the earth
I watch my world turn beautiful and dark
My soul is of the wild
My body is of the wild
My heart is of the wild
I have no boundaries in the heart of mine
I seek no objects of humanized value
All I need is my wild
My beautiful majestic wild
