Description
So, I using Da Muro not photoshop, along with google photo editor and try to do "photo-manipulating" on one of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" trailer screenshot. As you can already tell, I go for cartoon Sonic Boom's design (minus the scarf).This is the screenshot I using:

The problem is that Sonic and his fellows are 2 D characters. If they put a 2 D character in a 3 D world, the result will be weird, no matter what. New Sonic was a monster, while this one is more similar to the original.
Well, I personaly don't like his eyes linked, but this does not matter: it's the original way, the good way they created and designed him first, so he has got to have those linked eyes.
And spikes with fur, Ok. And white gloves and red shoes... and HE is the runner, not his shoes!!!
Maybe it does not matter if his arms and legs are all covered in fur. The point is that Sonic has got to be easy to spot, and this new one isn't.
Worst of all: why Eggman/Robotnik is Jim Carrey? I adore Jim Carrey, but what does he share with Ivo Giulian Robotnik?
I am quite happy that Sonic is the only Mobian seen in this movie. I am afraid what they could have done to Tails, Knuckles and Amy... and all the others. I already saw the disaster they made in Sonic Boom, I suffered enough!

Well, Sonic is really really much better than before. I still have got a ton of doubts about Jim Carrey playing Robotnik, but new (well, GOOD) design makes everything more acceptable. Doctor Robotnik is mad, but not that way... And fat, and he does not waste time with puns with his cronies (human or robot), he only scolds or maybe insults them.
I just wonder why they did not use that style from the first time.
Now I feel relieved and I feel less scared about seeing other characters, like Tails, Knuckles, Amy etc.

I am in the minority when I saw I like the movie design. I want him to be distinguished from the game. If he looked just like the game...I could have just asked for a game movie. I appreciate different adaptations even if I don't particularly like them. Like, I'm a fan of Jean Claude Van Damme's Street Fighter movie too

I like the Sonic Boom version too. It distinguishes him from the original canon. If you’re going to make a new version, appreciate the differences they make. As long as you can tell it’s still the same character. My opinion though. 😊

Way underrated game. Sonic fans can be very critical lol. Hence, the hate on the movie design. I don't know about you but I am so excited to see this movie. I was immediately sold when I saw Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman/Robotnik.

I think you did pretty good on the eyes but of course you might need to change everything else to make it look more cartoony XD! (btw ive seen so many of these fan edits and some of them are...well...interesting XD but of course yours looks pretty cool!)

True that it isn’t look cartoonishly but the realistic fur stay because it not like the movie need to redesign the fur too... it will be more difficult and time consuming to apply it in movie.
