Ooohh!!! very pretty! The contrast in pink really stands out.
We have something like that over here too but it's orange, I need to find them as I don't think they are a native species.

In the philippines, it's called makahiya :^3
I know there are different names for this plant but, makahiya is from the filipino word "mahiya" means shy :^D
I like your shot, it shows the beauty of the flowet and the plant!

That's a mimosa plant. Do you know that if you use something to poke the leaf, the leaf itself will automatically respond by folding their leaves along the branch to protect themselves. Where did you found it? If it was in the United States then tell me which state did you take a picture of this plant. This plant grows in the tropical countries around the world.

Oh wow. Florida, that's a warm and moist place. In a topical Asia like Thailand where I'm from. They feed mimosa to goats and mimosa have kind of poison that can only kill bovine animals such as buffaloes or cattle.

Yeah. I've heard a story that some Thai farmers use this plant in their cigar by mixing the grind leaves and mix those with marijuana and use that for smoking too. But it have no effects on goats, I wonder why.
