Description Original template  comes from MalisTLK .

Another round here, this time with designing Simba/Nala children. Personally I don't care too much for them, it's the same feeling I have with Kopa as just an exercise in easy design/story creativity. I did do some tweaking of the colors, so some of them have inherited traits from previous generations. Also none of them are canon in my Nuka AU, minus Kion here.

Tanabi: The Irritable Prince

Not a lot to say about him. I had initially thought about a possible Nala X Malka concept for him, in a universe where Nala didn't find Simba and went to ask Malka for help in defeating Scar, though I wanted to stick to the original challenge. I always got the idea of Tanabi as being a grumpy dude, like very snappy and aloof. He just wants to be left alone. He and Kopa can be grumpy lions together, sent to Malka's boot camp to learn respect and honor, only to genuinely enjoy their time there and decide to stay.

Shani: The Determined Spirit

She's Kiara but way more reckless and irresponsible. Inheriting her mother's strong will and stubbornness, combined with the phrase of Hakuna Matata, this girl would rather be out in the world, doing her own thing, nobody holding her back. Responsibilities? What of them? Consequences? Never heard them. Unlike Kiara, she's a bit more insensitive and selfish, looking out for her more then others, kind of like her father was during his teen years. She's also a wicked fast lioness and an excellent huntress, despite how carefree she is. I tried combining her parent's colors together, then darkened it, which does make her look more like her maternal grandmother. She does look very much like the early concept drawing 'Shani' which would eventually become Kiara.

Aisha: The Green-Eyed Beauty

Remember that one part of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" with Nala giving Simba that sultry look? I don't know why that stuck with me that much, but this girl is a slick temptress with a honeyed tongue and alluring looks. Not really in for romance, but she is rather good at using her looks and mannerisms to siphon information for targets or unreasonably acting allies. Think my Nuka AU's Zuri, but more devilish and a bit more cold. Good at socializing enough, but not really qualified as a leader. She's more a spy, preferring to lure unsuspecting enemies in, steal all their secrets, and leave them the next morning with no idea that they've been duped.

Chaka: The Dutiful Son

After the last few entries, I realize I had been doing a lot of negative ones, some with more extreme qualities/traits of their parents to a point where it makes them a jerk, uncaring, or disinterested. How about a nice one instead? Chaka here is a gentle giant, inheriting much of his build and size from his grandfather. He is a warm, loving lion, always willing to lend a paw. This lion would die for you to ensure your safety and go to any length to make your day. That being said, he is very dedicated to serving the kingdom. I think in an AU he would be betrothed to another kingdom or serve as an additional guard for his sister.

Naba: The Golden Worrier

Admittedly around this time I was beginning to run out of design ideas, so I finally just said 'whatever'. She's got Sarabi's ear rims, Uru's diamond marking, her mother's face, and a combination of Ahadi's and cub Simba's coat. I also have a HC that the reason why Kiara doesn't want to be queen is because her father has put so much pressure on her from a young age, plus the anxiety of following in the huge footsteps of her father and grandfather, and insecurities about herself. Naba is this, but dialed to eleven. It's why she's got the creased forehead and wrinkles under her eyelids.

From the very beginning, Naba was seen everywhere as a brilliant beacon of hope. Inheriting the traditional golden coat of her forefathers and even the diamond marking of the late, great queen Uru, the kingdom rejoiced for her presence, believing her rule would follow in the same footsteps as the rulers before her and lead them into a golden era. Such expectations were placed on her at such a young age, even by her parents, and this utterly freaks the poor girl out. Naba is terrified at the idea of failure, but feels like she just can't amount to the expectations put in place for her. She's also terribly anxious and socially awkward, fearing that lions won't like her for who she is, or who she wants to be, and is so terrified that she shuts down to the outside world. This makes it difficult, seeing as she'll be set to inherit the throne one day and interactions are key to success. She's also fearful of being too far away from her parents or familiar territory. She wants to be brave and confident like her parents and everyone else, but it's very hard for her to get out of her shell and face the world.

Kion: The Fiercest Guard

I know the title said OC or reuse Kopa, but I already did Kopa and you probably already know my thoughts about him. Technically Kion does fit in the category of this challenge so I decided to add him. I decided to draw him as an adult here, though for the life of me I just couldn't get that smile right. I also don't really like his mane style, probably will have to redo it in the future. I darkened his pelt a bit here for his adult form.

Anyways, Kion. Second-born of Simba and Nala, younger brother of Kiara, and leader of the Lion Guard. Kion is a natural-born leader, very confident, charismatic and smart early on, though also has a bit of anxiety and insecurities. Early on he used to doubt himself a bit about his role and position. Having the same sibling placement and job as the infamous Scar didn't help his worries, though neither did his father's misunderstanding of what the Lion Guard actually does and accidently piling on a lot of responsibilities that no cub should never have placed on them. Oops. If you've been keeping up with my Nuka AU, you probably are familiar with his role and stuff; Nuka takes on a big brother role and assists with his duties and health, Kion gets injured during the war with the Outlanders(much more dialed back form the original), and goes to the Tree of Life to seek help for his and his friend's injuries. Everything else is closely the same to the original, but I won't spoil anything for the parts that are yet to come out. All you need to know right now is that as an adult Kion is a very mature, happy and compassionate lion who loves his family and friends and is willing to serve and protect them.

Also if Chaka was born, the two would've been twins(Kion as the older of the two) and the best of friends.

Right, thank you again MalisTLK  for the challenge/template to do. Once again I had a good time testing out my creative design/story skills and I am glad with what I came up with. I think out of all of them Chaka and Naba are my favorites. Chaka's just a warm ball of sunshine, much like his great-grandfather while Naba seems to inherited more of her great-grandmother's concerned personality, but with added anxiety. Perhaps in another universe where they replace Kiara and Kion, Chaka can be the well-liked, supportive younger brother to his unsure, nervous sister.
