Thanks man, I appreciate it! There's a LOT coming down the line so there will be characters in these shots. My initial notion for this series was to do these BG layouts free of characters so I could potentially re-use them as locations scenes in pending manga, so characters would just get dropped in.

Whispers of the deep reminds me of a HPL thing.
Someone combined Fiddler on the roof with the Cthulhu mythos.
They did a pretty good job with it.

The "Deep" is indeed a bit of a not to Lovecraft and eludes to the unsettling undercurrent this project actually has that has been yet to be really revealed. Not familiar with that particular mash up but it does sound intriguing. Feel more than free to drop a link!
