Description Illo of derelict spacecraft # 1 from Morrigan Press's Terran Trade Authority RPG [link] . This illo pretty much harkens the original, from the old 1978 Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD in look and composition. Morrigan only secured the rights (and looks to be losing them but that's for another story) to do the books but not use the original art. The contract allowed for reproducing the old art as new art and that's what we did with some of the pieces.

Oh wow!  Magnificent work.

Been looking for these books for ages ... got the Spacewrecks for a source book to help with some ideas later.  Glad to have found this image to help me remember which book I saw it in.

Dude. Like TTA Object 6, I am getting a real "Chris Foss" vibe from these pieces. It's the odd geometric shapes and groovy landscapes. Have you heard of him? Studied his works?

Cool stuff.

Chris Foss is actually responsible for many of the TTA stuffs.

I have to admit, I'm surprised - and pleased - that there's a movement to revive the TTA. My first experience with TTA was a book entitled "Spacebase 2020" (if I'm remembering the title correctly - it combined both TTA books into one huge volume) in the public library attached to my junior high school. The Unidentified Objects were the more memorable pieces, in my opinion.

I'll have to keep an eye out for the RPG when it becomes available.

Yeah it was a surprise to me as well before I got Jeff (my co-studio writer) the gig of penning a good portion of the relaunch. I ended up doing art by proxy. The RPG did indeed come out, just follow the link in my description of the piece from the initial posting. It, unfortunately, is in stasis due to troubles Morrigan Press has had. TTA is in holding pattern but Jeff is actively involved, with Stewart Cowley, in resolving this and getting things back on track. Any new news and it'll likely be posted here, so long as there aren't and legal consideration to prevent it.
