My first pet mouse! His name is Hunter. He's the sweetest little guy! He will hardly ever sit still though, so... Sorry for horrible photos.I just got him today, so I'll take some photos tomorrow in natural light.

I actually didn't know, so I looked it up... He looks like a mismarked black dutch.
Mouse colors are so cool! I had no idea there were so many kinds.

Same with bunnies, too. I notice that both bunnies and rats have a 'siamese' coloring with a cream body and tan 'points'. I love that coloration, too.

I know owning a rat is amazing because I used to own them, never thought about owning a mouse. Are they like rats?

I guess you could say it like this: If they were birds, mice would be budgies and rats would be parrots.
Rats are more cuddly and have more personality, but they are both good pets.
Mice are like tiny rats that have no attention span and run everywhere, so it's hard to hold them.
