I have a feeling David Brin is one of your influences. The idea of Nixies seem to be influenced partially by David Brin's Uplift series while the imagery of this comic brings to mind David Brin's comic The Life Eaters, in which the Nazis summon Daemons disguised as Norse Gods via mass human sacrifice in the death camps, resulting in the conquest of the USSR, the D-Day landings getting destroyed by Warp Storms, and even the Fall of the USA to Nazis and Daemons. In response, the peoples of the tropics engaged in Daemon summonings of their own while the Middle East got taken over by the Union of Israel-Iran, which is practically a cross between the Warhammer Fantasy Empire of Mankind and the Tau Empire

I have read some of the Uplift novels, yes, so no doubt there are influences from Brin as well. My universe is really a combination of my favorite tropes from pretty much all science fiction and fantasy stories I'm familiar with.
Haven't read any of Brin's other works, however. The Life Eaters sounds quite interesting, though.

Life Eaters doesn't go into much detail regarding the Daemon invasions of the USA and USSR nor into the politics of the various chaos cults orΒ Israel-Iran/Empire of Mankind-- which leaves plenty of room for fanfiction. By the way, there are also underwater Deathwatch-like watch stations and a rivalry between what can be interpreted as one Lord of Change vs. multiple Bloodthirsters.
