Description This is another of the "picturesque" views I pass on my weekend runs. This stream runs through the Dow Corning plant (the white towers on the horizon) opposite my house to be spewed out into the local docks.

reminds me of the river in town here....on my side of town, it's all business and trashed up. but in the older part of town, on the other side, up the river, it's so forgotten...the water still isn't exactly sanitary, but there are some places that just look absolutely beautiful. i like this shot, the B/W adds to the effect. i like how the world seems to have forgotten it, but nature hasn't ^_^ lovely

It's got a real historic industrial heartland feel to it. The black and white makes it timeless and brings out the contrast in the shot. Nice work.

Nice one m8

Love the way the cables along the bank draw you right in.

Amazingly calm and tranquil, although with an immense sadness - great use of b& w

It looks like a shot from "The Full Monty."

I think if it were always so calm and serene that I wouldn't be a good compaion to run with.

What can you say about this shot? Industrial Wasteland. More than technically perfect. It has a soul. It has a heartbeat. It beacons one to walk in and create a life for oneself. Something from a Tarkovsky movie.
