This was a complex but fun piece.
Two fun things I learned while looking for references: Modern say Geisha are actually called Geiko, as they're more keeping the tradition alive rather than living it as a part of society which is still active.
The second is is for a period Geisha would blacken there teeth, though this fell out of favor centuries ago.
