Hmmm the background seems gloomier on site than what I did in photoshop. Maybe I subconsciously did that, since I'm feeling a bit sulky.Or perhaps I'm a bit sad that this will end in another 2 weeks or so.

i mean it seems like it's the time where the pirates became pirates and stuff like that so i thought they wear huormous hideous pumpkin panties.

In my experience, pirates are often depicted as burly and butch, the kind of guys that are too tough to fit in their clothes but wear their tights and red-striped tees anyway for the sake of censorship. "Pumpkin panties" so to speak, are actually the kind of clothes that noblemen would wear, as a show of status since they have enough money to stuff extra fabrics into their pjs and undergarments. xD In general, the pumpkin pants would be much too cumbersome and altogether unsightly and unusable for pirates to work, or even swim, in, so in my opinion it's rather unlikely that they would be wearing those at all.
Furthermore, the Little Mermaid/Merman had little to no references to pirates in the first place lol.

It was kind of the fashion during the Renaissance Era? I can't really blame them for wearing pumpkin pants since they were a fad and majorly popular at the time.
Besides, you say that pumpkin pants look hideous now, but it's just a matter of perspective, isn't it? Thirty years from now, people could be saying, "Ew, why did you guys wear hoodies, they are gross looking." Or even better, "Gee, these pumpkin pants look really nice, I simply have to get them!" :>

Well, yes, pants were unseemly on girls at the time. Socially, girls were expected to embody a completely feminine physique for housework, childbearing, and disciplining children. Pants were not necessary to any of those things, furthermore, skirts completed the look of a "woman" moreso than any pair of pants during the era. : P

I don't knowww. Honestly, I really only saw this as a one-time thing. I wouldn't mind doing another ARH related work, but I thought that maybe I should try something more complicated after I was done with TLM? Layout and drawing style -wise I mean, since these are fairly simplistic. :>
