Watercolour with gouache highlighting, 10" x 7" on Arches 140lb paper.

From the imagination of yours truly...
I fancied starting a series of pieces called harbour, places I would create myself... here's the first one that I came up with...
That's about it, really, other than to say I'm fairly pleased how this one turned out, which is not something I say too often about my paintings...

You're absolutely right to be pleased about this painting, what a great imaginary place with a terrific atmosphere and energy! And the houses look cosy and warm amidst the stormy elements.
Had I come up with a painting like this one, I would never have been able to sell it !

I don't find parting with my paintings a problem - selling
them buys me time to paint others.... and anyway, I can always
see them in my mind...
