Daphne bit her lip as Velma's warning about tipping echoed in her mind. "Hah- hours ago the idea would have sounded ridiculous, but now..." That voice again: "c-c'mon- we've come so far together. Don't leave meeee!"

So plaintive. The heartbreak caused Daphne's eyes to flutter open. "Wha? Huh? Oh hey, Velm- Did you find the antidote?"

Velma sniffled, managing a smile through tears. "Not yet. You were helping me look for it, remember?"

"Yeah, but not without my flashlight. I'll just-" As soon as she bent over to retrieve it, Daphne pitched tits-first onto the floor, landing with a graceless plop.

Velma extended a hand. "Wait- I'll help you up...carefully."
