I am sorry, but that is not a saker. It looks like the bird has saker blood in him, but he is not a pure saker. Maybe a saker/peregrine? Some of the stripes on the chest kinda suggest that. Sakers are light brown with lighter brown spots on dark feathers and very light, creamy heads that are in a beautiful contrast with the rest of the body.

But it is a great shot

I am afraid you are wrong. At Hellenthal are no hybrids! It is a juvenile saker falcon.

hahaha oh well. shows I still have a lot to learn I have not seen a lugger before (althugh I heard about them) - and wow, such a pretty bird!

I will be expecting more beuriful pictures from you with much anticipation

Wow, excellent. I was in alaska recently trying to get some good eagle shots, but i couldnt get that close, not even with my 500 lens. bravo
