It is actually Perler pearl color, it is no longer sold. Β It looks a bit orange in the picture because it is somewhat transparent and is picking up the color of the wall.

Man this is amazing! How do you manage to fuse the beads so nicely? Did you do it with an iron or did you use a different technique.

another question is, how big does it come out to be? i have one of the big peg board for bigger ones any many regular ones. im wondering the size. and did u keep this one for urself or sell it?

It isΒ 171 tall byΒ 118 wide. Β So about 6 pegboards tall and a little over 4 wide.

How did you keep it up on your wall without push pins?

I used wire brads...basically small nails, they fit perfectly in the middle of the beads and hide quite nicely. Β Leave about the same size hole as push pins as well but without the huge end part.

Scaled the original image down in GIMP and then recolored it to get rid of the anti-aliasing so it looked cleaner. Feel free to copy it.

I have a question about the clear beads.
Does it look strange in front of certain colored surfaces? Since they're a little translucent.

I didn't use clear beads, I actually used Pearl colored beads. They have since been discontinued. You can see them toward the center of the chest. The orange wall shows though and makes it those beads take on that color a bit.
But they are a bit translucent, I didn't even realize how much it showed through until this piece. One way of fixing this is to line the back of the piece with foam core. It comes in black and white at most crafts stores. So you can make the clear/pearl beads more or less dark depending on which color foam core backing you choose.
The backing also helps give the piece a bit of stability.

It takes around 45 minutes to lay down 1k beads. So roughly 7-8 hours.
