‘Well, for one thing, after I transform you back you’d probably tell the principal and the dean of students what I did to you. I can’t have that, I don’t want to be punished for putting you in your place. Another thing, I don’t have to deal with you ever again. All those long class periods hearing you drone on and on about how great whatever book we're reading is were just torture. Now, I get to torture you.”

“Please, Emma, have mercy. I can’t be shoes for the rest of my life! Please, I’d do anything! It’s horrible being a pair of shoes. I have to deal with all your foot funk, sweat, and smells, alongside your constant stepping. It’s driving me mad! Just transform me back and I’ll forget and make up all that I said to wrong you!”

“Hmm, no. You’re better off as a shoe Mrs. Shelton. What was is that that you said to me, that I was truly a low life. Well, looks who’s the low life now.”
