Thank you! They've hatched already. If we get a day when it's not raining. I want to take pictures of the little birds

It does seem weird that they are blue doesn't it? Not a very good color for blending in, but definitely pretty.

So, we had a tiny, thin white birch tree in the front yard that needed a little trimming. As I began, I started getting buzz bombed by a robin. I spotted the nest and knew why so I left it alone. One night, it blew over in a storm. When I went out the next day to take a look, I saw the nest still pretty secure and found four little blue eggs scattered, unbroken in the grass. Got my rubber gloves, tied the tree back up with some stakes, put the eggs back, and hoped. Soon enough one morning I left for work, and saw mom feeding her babies. Couldn't save the tree, but I had served a great purpose. Thank you for bringing back a nice memory, and posting a beautiful picture.

That is a great story! Thank you for sharing. This same robin makes a nest every year near us. It's always in a slightly different place. It's always a challenge to find it. Thankfully this year I was able to find and angle and get a shot of the eggs. I'll try and take more once they've hatched.
