so sad, when i see benchs, im instantly overwhelmed by the sight of couples tugging at each other's hands. it's such a cold yet warm scene just there are no lovers to enjoy it.

wow this is wonderful

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2006-12-29 14:58:53 +0000 UTC]

this winter is horrible.....its 50 degrees out here in michigan, when there should be at least a foot of snow!!! it makes me so sad and man. ..........i dispise warm winters with all of my soul!!!!....i am moving to iceland very soon!!haha.......it needs to snow again soon, i cant stand these gray days with no snow..........

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2006-12-29 20:36:29 +0000 UTC]

50°C or 50°F? i guess fahrenheit because 50 deg celsius would be hell!!
these grey days are the worst kind. everything around you is dead and grey, i dont like these dull days because i seem to adapt their dullness whereas snow is so magical and though i dont like the cold either its so much more pleasant than these grey days

aww no snow? ...how sad
perhaps end of feb we'll have something like 5 feet of snow as compensation for the lack of snow now hahah
would that be enough snow for you or do you still want to move to iceland??

oh in all seriousness im definitly moving to iceland no matter what, such a beautiful landscape and climate......i think i am a Yeti at heart..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-04 21:42:26 +0000 UTC]

oh you were serious about that!!
well if all yetis have such a beautiful mind and soul like you
this world could definitely do with more yetis! hehe
this world is too full with horrible terrible people
and sadly this world is ruled by them also...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2007-01-05 14:18:04 +0000 UTC]

i agree that the world definitly could use a ton more Yeti's, but i dont know how normal people who like the temperate zones like hawaii and florida would feel about that ahahaha. Also, if Yeti's all have such beautiful souls and minds then you are definitly the queen Yeti.

i do completely agree that the world is ruled and engrossed with terrible people... no doubt about that, those who are bent on causing havoc and poverty and hatred and war and destruction of the enviornment do trouble my soul......but i believe in restoration and healing, and i see it happen every day....and i believe "LOVE WINS." period. and my life purpose is to bring all the good and restoration i can... to this earth.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-09 17:35:36 +0000 UTC]

queen yeti hehe well maybe not really i do think snow is very beautiful but i dont like the cold so very much, i prefer spring temperatures like 17°C. too bad you dont get snow at such temperatures hehe but speaking of soul and mind, if im a yeti queen you are so much more than just a yeti, even a king yeti

sure restoration and healing is possible but if the amount of damage caused is too much for the number people who actually live their life like you or how i try to its kinda problematic... but nevertheless, i dont want to be like the people who cause all this even if the good i do may not make much difference to the world... perhaps it makes a difference to the people in my every day life. do good and good will happen to you in turn, thats what i believe

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2007-01-10 01:23:22 +0000 UTC]

i dont know if i can handle the title of king yeti ahaha, thats hilarious.

i agree.

there is this story of this guy who finds all these starfish washed up on the beach, and he decides to throw as many as he can back into the ocean so they could live. someone stopped him and told him he would never be able to save the entire beach in time before they died, his reply was " i just made a difference in this one's life" as he threw another back into the ocean.

thats the way i look at it. what can i do now to help you know.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-13 09:54:48 +0000 UTC]

thats a nice story and very true. one does make a difference with everything one does and even if it just seems to be a small one it sometimes still is of great meaning to individual people/starfish hehe

its a shame not many people here seem to be thinking like this but maybe one day when things get carried to exremes people will change...

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-23 14:35:02 +0000 UTC]

you know whats rather amusing? hehe our instinct of self preservation - which seems to be our egoism - is probably going to be the thing that is going to kill us all one day

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2007-01-25 18:31:55 +0000 UTC]

i agree. our selfishness and insecurtity do so much damage to others and the enviornment. i struggle with my selfishness everyday i am alive. it kills more than we will ever know.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-25 19:24:58 +0000 UTC]

i guess our selfishness will always be a problem.
speaking of environmental problems. the solution would be living in a different way which causes less damage to the environment but not many people would give up their way of living because how things are now is just so much more convenient. we have to make a compromise but so many people are not ready to and just dont care about the damage they cause since i guess they cant see how bad it actually is and its not affecting their life in a too bad way or they dont realise. only in the future can we see how bad the damage actually is that we cause. our selfishness will one day distroy us.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2007-01-26 19:27:19 +0000 UTC]

exactly. nothing will ever change until we finally stand up and say that we have had enough and stop our parts of what we do to damage the things around us.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-27 17:57:27 +0000 UTC]

yes but this will never happen since our egoism is a part of us which is inborn and we cant controle that easily...

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-01-31 17:46:23 +0000 UTC]

and its sad that its a war not many seem to want to fight and just give in to their egoism...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2007-01-31 19:04:07 +0000 UTC]

the only thing we can control for sure is our own reactions and actions to change things...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-02-02 20:49:09 +0000 UTC]

i think not even that we can control for sure... certain things probably yes, but our instincts subconsciously push us to do a lot of things and we dont even realise we're not doing them by free will... i dont believe we actually really have a free will... because all our actions, our thinking, our dreaming etc. depends on so many things...
but then what is the definition of free will? because maybe im wrong and its not a will thats independent from everything else in your life...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

waguzman In reply to grotesque-morbidness [2007-02-06 19:47:06 +0000 UTC]

hmm.................. wow.

i think we bend our reactions to actions a bit enough for it to be called "will", and in ones view it can be free, in anothers it will be reactions to actions. but either way one may chose to see whatever they saw eh?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grotesque-morbidness In reply to waguzman [2007-02-12 20:01:00 +0000 UTC]

yes maybe but well, all in all we humans are animals aswell and animals are driven by their instinct of self preservation and i believe ours is our egoism. i believe it influences a lot of our actions but yeh still it can be called will i guess. anyway, it doesnt matter really does it? i dont even remember what we initially were talking about that got us here lol
