I always thought the mohawk worked like Sonic's spines did in Sonic X, just a 2D version of his regular 6 spines but obviously not.
You're right, it is a bit odd to look at in 3D but great work as always.

I do agree about it looking weird. But like Mickey's Ears, animation doesn't care about how it looks in 3D. Still a nice job on it.

I know ToonTown online had special programming in to always force Mickey's ears to always face the camera

Which is weird seeing Kingdom Hearts doesn't bother and his ears are radar dishes. Hmm what about Epic Micky I need to research that.

Yeah you'd think they'd try to do that in kingdom hearts but seems square might've not cared enough to do so

Indeed, though considering that (and this even I chuckle at as I think it) Kingdom Hearts has a more realistic style to it. Anime and cartoon as it art style wise, it is like Detective Pikachu in the characters are rendered as they would be if they dropped into our world and Roger Rabbit syndrome didn't happen. They have individual hair, Feathers, their clothes have thread counts and Goofy has realistic human like skin on his muzzle and his teeth are like you expect teeth to look in HD, funny Wreck-It Ralph plays the same rule, even if you look like fifteen pixles in your game to players when you see yourself and others inside everything is realistic.
We need a term for that, where you take simple images like a cartoon, game sprite, or older polygonal games and render them as High Definition uprezes of that very art that can physically exist in our universe as we see it, of course I want it to be on the scope of Detective Pikachu or Wreck-it Ralph and not the new Sonic movie, give it realistic noodle limbs but noth that!

Really? Dang. Shame no one can make it work for action figures.

In theory you could pull that off using magnets in the head of the toy, kind of like the good smile kirby figure and how you move kirby's arms and legs.
