Maybe he`s just having a guest spot. You know like Misty, May, Dawn have had so far.
I`m still hoping Ash leaves the anime, getting kinda stale when they reboot his knowledge of pokemon training to lv1. But at the same time I hope he gets a proper send off, with his replacement showing up, him acting as mentor to the replacement, and becoming a pokemon master by teaching someone else how to be a trainer. Unfortunately that will never happen.

I get what you mean about the 'reboot' though, that first battle with Trip's Lv5 Snivy in Unova was painful to watch!

That's what I mean though. Ash effectively started the anime but there is only so many times they can reboot him before they just have to outright him.Β
Besides the chances of them getting rid of Ash is as astronomical as Ash's father actually showing up in an episode and not in a flashback though you know this season they could finally meet, with his father's team a reflection of his own, but I mention that because they said they'd only bring in his father if Ash needed to mature and as you said he seems older, swear his hair even looks a bit shorter too.

Yes that is usually the case when Ash goes to a new region
But Brock did rejoin ash after a while in Hoenn, so I would say there is a slim chance!

I miss them a ton. I really attached to Cilan and they offed him pretty quick, where as Brock got to be around for what, 10, 15 seasons? I realize nobody could replace Brock, but they could have let Cilan stick around for a bit longer to develop his character..I don't know. I would have liked to watch iris progress as a dragon master too. We got to watch may and dawn become incredible coordinators. Once they had it made, they took off to train other places on their own journeys. Iris just had a goal, caught a powerful pokemon, and left. I loved black and White but it also upset me in a lot of ways. Anyway, your I.D. icon...it makes me rofl.

Keep Β an eye out for new "Best Wishes" episodes. Β They might use those for Iris' journey to become a Dragon Master.

Yeah Cilan was entertaining and a breath of fresh air, no offense to Brock who was entertaining yet overrun his welcome. Had the the saga not been rushed than I'm sure Iris and Cilan may gt as much proper development but at least they did something more than standing around.
