An evo or pre-evo would be great! Although I like single stage mons too if they have decent stats (heracross comes to mind)

I don't mind single-stage mons, and decent stats for them is always a good idea.

I just like to 'earn' the higher stats via evolving.

I like having a variety of different mons and evolution lines. Evolving pokemon are great because you feel like they're growing with you and that you earn their strength but single stage are also great because they have a stronger identity and you don't have to spread your affection among multiple iterations of the same mon

I tend to use both evolving and non-evolving myself
