Description
Given that in the wild most Exeggcute don't evolve into their final form, crossbreeding is rare and almost unobservable in a non-laboratory setting. The only one found in the wild is the shiny variant.
Note: Despite the appearance and naming, Exeggcute are actually more seed-like in structure than egg-like.
Standard - Purebreed -
The one found most commonly in the wild. Typical hive-mind relationship between the five eggs. Broken egg contains amniotic fluids. Despite the apparent cracks, favors Defense.
Shiny/Wonka -
Named after a certain movie in which golden eggs were a big hit. No biological difference aside from color. Same stat arrangement.
Easter (+ Comfey)
- The various pigments that Comfey expresses are carried over into the shell. This variation is less temperamental and in Alola children are often told to search for them around a certain spring holiday. Broken egg contains a nectar that is for some reason brown in appearance and smells of cocoa. Better at photosynthesis, meaning it no longer has to carry food around with it. Favors Special Attack and Special Defense.
Robin's Egg (+ Tangrowth)
- Sought after for it's brilliant blue shells. The heaviest variation, but given the skill of phytokinesis (controlling other plant life outside of attacks). The broken egg contains a wriggling mass of pink tentacles, like that found on adult Tangrowth. Very elusive. Has higher Defense than Standard form, but is slower.
Bad Egg (+ Trevenant)
- Despite the name, is actually quite docile. Shell is actually composed of several roots wrapped around an egg shaped mass of energy. Broken "egg" contains pure spiritual energy used in attacking. Slow, preferring to stay fixed in one spot and use roots to absorb nutrients from the ground. High Attack for the trade-off of low Speed.
Turtle Clutch (+ Torterra)
- Rounder and smaller than Standard form, they have a small circular indent like that of all turtle Pokemon's eggs. Groups of these Exeggcute usually have twice the normal amount of eggs. Broken egg contains amniotic fluid. Less psychic powers in this variation. Thick shells contribute to high Defense and Attack, but low Speed and Special Defense.
Speckled (+ Breloom)
- No physical difference in structure, merely aesthetic difference of shell color and presence of randomly assorting speckles. Broken egg contains amniotic fluid. No psychic power observed in this variation, but instead has higher Speed and Attack.
Garden (+ Sunflora)
- The favorite among coordinators, at least when smiling. Having this variation in a garden promotes growth among flowers. This variation also has the highest chance of having the Hidden Ability, Harvest. Broken "egg" contains a form of sunflower oil. Overall frail, and very slow, but makes up for it with high levels of phytokinesis and more plant-like internal structures that contribute to high Special Attack.
Trainer's Dozen (+ Amoonguss)
- Named after the old term used to describe the original maximum party amount, this variation has a red ring around the top that's capable of more effectively releasing spores and powders. The individuals in a group are capable of spreading out a further distance than Standard forms, allowing them to employ the "Pokeball mimic" technique to attract pollinators. Broken egg contains a toxic sludge. Low Speed is made up for in a massive amount of HP.
---
Back again with more of these variations, and what better time to do an eggciting Pokemon such as this than before Easter? Most of them are based off of types of eggs, with a couple seeds thrown in an as well.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
