Dark Shadows
Darkened eyes with hair draped across the face
hiding in the shadows in loss of grace
broken hearts cry out, silence to embrace
shaving heads, women in heart felt disgrace
in the shadows yearn for love to replace
denial of self and soul, pasts to erase
looking for hope in all the wrong places
wondering when and where they may save faces
working to assuage shadowy spaces
sitting in corners, leaving no traces
tears pouring down as their anger races
dark shadows growing like vines in vases!

Happy New Year
Out with the old, in with the new
a New Year dawns, so many are blue
times are ah changin', what seems true
lost in struggles, what to renew
happier times gone to the zoo
monkeys squeal, dogs howl, cats go mew
time passes no matter the stew

Vampire Love
The beast comes like a bat out of the night
swooping down on lovelies to its delight
biting their necks, blood sucking in their fright
stealing their virtue and holding them tight
turning souls into waifs of the dark knight
sleeping in coffins during the daylight
howling at the moon in darkest of plight
belonging to the beast, turning pure white
dressed in gowns of black, acting most contrite
their lives serving, giving dark forces might
empowering damnation, no will to fight
for love of blood and gore they would incite
to please the dark Master, perform each rite
vampire love, depravity to invite!

Avast me hearties un list'n ta mi rail
ah mighty, grand ship upon me account set sail
un a dark night beginneth mi sad tale
with Jolly Roger flyin', wurm hearts turn frail
vampires un ghosts about, screams ta regale
blood drippin' fum flag, blackness must prevail
fum Davy Jones locker come ah mournful wail
da night bringeth horrors ta scareth ah whale
bats flyin' about, banshies wit' black veil
da bite of the vampire, blood spilleth in pail
cold un blood curdling, ice formeth ta pale
uh night to 'member, bett'r uff in ah jail
death un macabre, ul true hearts wouds't sure fail
sleep mi hearties, it be ah monkey's tail!

love this picture! anyway you can tell me how you achieved the muted colors?

Actually the whole room was black white, but adobe photoshop effect revised& beautified a lot, I think. ^^
If you have photoshop, you can find this effect: Image-->Adjusments--> and here you can choose brightness/contrast, or the stripping (or i don't know how does it called), and it makes the picture colorless.
You can also select saturation, and set the color.
