A smallish Wolfspider. These critters are enjoying the unseasonably warm weather, no doubt. They scurry up the side wall of the house from the fallen leaves when the sun shines on it. I always only see them crawling upward, never downward. Is there an inexhaustable number of them on the ground? Where do they go?Related content

our diadem spiders were enjoying an unnaturally warm November until 2 days ago, too...
now it's snowing, so I guess they've retreated to warmer corners and holes... except 2 of them

Araneus diadematus.. I had to look that up...lol! Yeah, every year we have spiders all about the house all winter. I only recently learned that spiders can go for months without food. Now I don't feel bad for these intrepid indoor survivors.

I didn't know that for sure, thanks for the information!!... I only thought they could live for long without food, because I've seen a few of them moving out in the spring... and since we don't feed them, I had supposed they were hibernating or something like that
