so i found this again: www.deviantart.com/wanderingpe…and saw that it'll be a year old in december, well, those designs are MEGA old, and i needed new refs for these girls so yesterday i went ahead and threw this together lol it's not the best thing ive ever drawn but it's strictly for design refs !!
so, yeah, just needed to get these done lol the headcanons in the desc. of the originals is basically the same aside from pinkie pie, who has rainbow powered hair cause i said fuck it, she's cute with it (that's the only reason she's got it lmao)

a bit of a color overload for me, but I like the love of detail
the additional tail feathers of the pegasi or the more delicate fluff on the front legs of the unicorns, not to mention the buff/robust build of the earth ponies, great job!

You have a lovely style! Fluttershy is super cute I love how soft her face and ears look hehe. I also love the extra swirls of colour in Pinkie Pie's mane, although some of the added colours on the rest of the designs make them look overly busy.

how to kill an animation team with artistic designs clearly made by a artist that doesn't animate, because there is way to much detail in this style.
These shouldn't be the designs for a new generation unless they have the exact right people to do it, or it's redesigned to be simpler. I know the people saying that the designs look nice enough to be official have a right to say so, but Think before you speak deviantart.

No these are not official designs, but there are people in the comments saying they should be, and I simply stated why they shouldn't be because I wanted to. As redesigns made by a fan artist they're pretty nice.
