Thanks to his upbringing, Jeremy is gentle towards the people and things around him. Puppies, kittens and all the other small animals were so delicate and frail to him that he can spend his whole day playing with them and making sure they're not hurt and won't injure themselves. He goes slow if required, especially when dealing with emotional and sensitive people. He's also very suave with his words and body language. This trait was ingrained with him during the days he spent volunteering at places with people. It was much easier to talk to people by making sure they like you first, thus Jeremy never forced himself to throw this trait away. Besides that, he is also very supportive of others when they are in need of help. Some things are especially hard to remove, especially the way Jeremy was taught to do things since he was young. As long as the other person does not have a discriminatory way of thinking, Jeremy has his arms opened. Jeremy is also considerate when it comes to facing problems and having to cooperate with others. Due to this open-minded mindset, Jeremy can solve hassles and problematic situations from the big picture while not ignoring the needs of other people. Of course, the good sides of him are only applied to specific situations and situations, and it also greatly depends on his fluctuating emotions.

He wants to solve things out as soon as possible and despised tense situations when he was still in the orphanage. Other than that, Jeremy is eccentric, both as a Special and as a person. He was a Special who wanted to help others ("Oh come on, you know that old habits die hard." //scoffs); he was also a person who preferred to not use his Special abilities for his own benefits. Some laughed at him for not using his ability to steal, in which he also laughed at himself for being dumb. He has his reasons, and his eccentricity kept him temporarily happy most of the time. The tragedic incident with the caretaker brought a whole new self to Jeremy; he became extremely vengeful in certain situations. He lets things go if someone bumped into him intentionally, but if one decides to pick a fight with him, he'll definitely plot something against them that will hinder them in the near or far future. "Not all Specials are bad!"

Jeremy was taken into an orphanage for the underprivileged, with caretakers who are also Specials and see the silver lining in things. A Special was treated as a burden in this society, so Jeremy stopped blaming his parents whom he never saw before for abandoning him by the age of 12. He follows the other caretakers to do volunteer work around the area, thus discriminating against others was something that he found very hard to do, as he can see that everyone has their own (un)fair share of problems just like he does.

"Stop it! I've had it enough already! What did I do to you?!"

By the time he was 17, Jeremy's abilities has yet to come to him. The last straw was when someone threw his books and bag into the water fountain outside the school and dumped pesticide on his table while he was treated as a punching bag for his classmates to relieve stress. All his pent up emotions went ablaze, but he could not move as the pain was overwhelming. There was a strong gut feeling inside him.

Maybe it's my ability. Finally. This is it--

He could not continue his thought process as he received another kick on the head. On this day, Jeremy accepted that sometimes, Specials are not the ugly ones.

"You can't see your future? Well, I can."

Jeremy had his first love for one of the caretakers at his orphanage. It was the day where he could not take it anymore, and decided that maybe it's time to end it once and for all. The caretaker stopped him and told him that his future is bright, using the ability to read the stars. Eye contact was held onto throughout the process, and boy oh boy, Jeremy was whipped. It was really weird after that. That caretaker seemed really charming, attractive and beautiful in Jeremy's eyes despite the small age gap they had. Nothing really changed except for his budding feelings, but for some reason, even when the caretaker dropped Jeremy's favourite desserts, the boy could only focus on the caretaker's long, long eyelashes.

"Run."

At the age of 18, no signs of the ability.

It is time. Today was the day Jeremy brings the caretaker for a walk along the lakeside. His walk with the caretaker was slightly awkward and tense at the same time. Jeremy has a pretty good feeling that his feelings were reciprocated, but his gut feeling was off. This was proved when there were sounds of swift footsteps in the forest.

"Fuckin' specials."

A gang of bandits ambushed them. The next thing Jeremy knew was that his neck felt bounded. The pain was excruciating. He tried to grab onto whatever was binding him, but his fingers bled. Spiked chains. Any deeper, and it'll pierce through the throat. The caretaker suddenly made a big movement, and now all eyes were there instead. The chain which strangled him loosened and they were all focused on the caretaker instead. In this moment, Jeremy made eye contact with the caretaker, he could read what the tiny lips mouthed to him. He couldn't think, and as the coward he was, Jeremy fled as if on reflex.

"Where did the fucker go?!" Gunshots were heard.

It was as if nobody saw him on the way. He was invisible. Jeremy's thought process was interrupted when he saw another caretaker outside the orphanage and desperately called to her. She turned around to see nobody, but Jeremy was just beside her. She laughed and asked if the other caretaker was playing their invisible ability on him. Jeremy was not in the mood at all. It took another minute for him to reappear in her sight. She smiled at him, but when she saw the mark on his neck, she was terrified.

"So in the end, the devil was once an angel too..."

In his room, he wanted to hold everything that had the memory of the caretaker, but he had no energy to even move. One by one, things floated up and came to him. Photos, notes...

When he was 18, Jeremy gained his ability as a Special, but at a cost which he may never be able to recover.

"I want to honour my grief."

The Special's rebellion force. He's heard of this from the other Specials in school who formed their own gang. The caretaker whom he loved warned him against joining, but look where he ended up now. After the incident, a government official came by and confirmed that the caretaker died in an accident, but the truth was another tale to be told. Jeremy blamed himself for bringing the caretaker there and also fleeing at a crucial moment. He joined forces with other Specials after leaving the orphanage and making an eternal farewell with the kids and caretakers. The chained scar on his neck that binds him forever, which will be brought into his grave, was half-covered with a tattoo.

"Seize the day."

At the age of 19, Jeremy's tears dried up, and so did his desire to prove that Specials can be good too.
