Yes: Paranapiacaba as SD40-2 said. This train was usedΒ  on San Paolo - Santos, and conduct by an Hitachi-locomotive on the rack section Paranapiacaba - Raz-da-Serra. Ther are today only good trains on this section, and Hitachi locomotives are replaced by new ones delivered by Stadler. I think this train was a DMU, and not a EMU.

Very Nice ... love the photo...I am a railroad lover, anything about trains. The picture is a bit sad, the train looks almost human. Thanks for the picture

SD40-2 [2013-02-14 18:16:08 +0000 UTC]

Essa foto foi tirada em Paranapiacaba né ??? Eu não conheço este modelo só sei que é uma EMU(Eletric Multiple Unit) e pela cara dele deve ser dos anos 40 ou 50.

For those who want to know more, this photo was taken in Paranapiaca a district of the municipality of Santo AndrΓ© in SΓ£o Pualo-Brazil, the train is stopped on a abandoned rail yard but right beside is the rail yard where diesel locomotives leave wagons and electric locomotives and manufactured by Hitachi type B + B + adherence take them to down the mountain to the sea and reach the coast with a decline of 10% slope, each composition that descends the mountain is formed of two locomotives and five wagons, arriving in the city of CubatΓ£o wagons exchange for diesel locomotives again. The railroad is called Estrada Ferrea Santos-Jundiai, the beginning of it is in the city of Santos which has the largest port in Latin America after climbing the mountain to the sea passes through SΓ£o Paulo that if I'm sure is the largest city in Latin America (or would the City of Mexico?)
and ends in Jundiai and is divided into other smaller railroads that usually end up on farms of grain production, manufactures, industries etc....
