Yea! Like freelance job~ I plan to do that too! If I need a break from animation, I can always change my career once in a while! Do you plan to touch on visual effects skill too or just stick with animation?

I think i'll just stick with animation for the most part, like i still enjoying animating a lil bit of fx (2D or 3D both) once in awhile, but nothing advanced. I've taken Ruben Moller's 3D fx class last summer, so i know if i wanna get advanced in sfx, i gotta be really really patient and have a really good machine (since ur dealing with particles most of the time @_@), both i don't really have LOL
what about u? wut are some of the other classes u've taken other than the regular o' animation/life drawing classes? have u tried any design/illus/fx class maybe?

that's truee! You know Alex? I think he's into both animation and visual effects, which Im sure he'll be successful! He's so pro at using After Effects. ah! I've took a lot of traditional drawing classes before, so I applied those skills to digital art, illustration, and graphic design. Traditional drawings are very very very fundamental! Once you are flexible with traditional mediums, you should have strong visuals in colors, compositions... etc. they are great for training your eyes. As for graphic design, I took lots of courses back in high school. Besides that, I taught myself (along with the teacher's assistance) on how to design logo and website design. but can't match to animation jobs sadly

Well, I'm thinking of animator, graphic designer (since I'm also fond of design, i know both design and animation are totally different) and perhaps digital artist (to improve my drawing/painting skills!) I'm thinking of getting another degree on communication design, but i am not sure how long that will take :/ perhaps diploma? Dunno :/
Really! I didn't know he joins Chinese ppl group! You bet! He's really motivated! I dont know how he learned thro this stuff without making mistakes... If there are mistakes, he sure handle them well.

Ah i see *-* how ambitious of u~ it's nice to hear tat u wanna keep learning new stuff after completing the animation major! i don't wanna stop learning either but i don't think i'll spend more time in school, instead ill just learn at work

i already did a bit of design stuff, i've done UI/logo/website designs before and now i'm taking a COMD course in summer
hmmm yah the perks about school is u can get ur prof to answer all of ur questions. but they say u learn 30% from prof and 70% from students around you, so i think i can learn more from co-workers. Besides, i think i'm capable of problem-solving on my own

Huh, tat's hard to answer, it depends on the problem, sometimes just googling will do. Otherwise, i'll have to restart, like you said, think it through, maybe find where I went wrong, flip a table, ask a friend, ask ppl online, there are too many ways to solve somethingg O:Β
