Description Watercolours, my old love, we meet again. Kiss me, watercolours, I've missed you so! :V

I've missed my old traditional mediums, and now that I'm in Manchester without access to a tablet, it appears it's all I have to use now. It was really fun to spend a lazy afternoon throwing a Donahue together with printer paper and watercolours and colour pencil, though.

And, I'm still replying to comments - slowly. xD There are a lot more than I expected, and I'm incredibly touched, but a little overwhelmed! Now that I'm settling in, I do have a little more time to answer things.

Also, I'm 19 today. Happy Brithday, Self!

Watercolours can get really tricky at times - personally, I think they look great in person, but they're a pain in the ass to scan in because the colours always look different on a computer and they bunch the paper up as they dry. >_>

I feel like the watercolors looks so much more lively in person! and I totally suck at cleaning/editing the piece once on the computer!
Water colors are so much fun though, so I try not to be discouraged.

Wow, that is beautiful! I'm always in awe of people who can handle watercolors. I never could get the hang of them.

Well, I can't do ANYTHING with Photoshop, or Poster/Acrylic colours! xD Everyone's good at something and bad at something else.

Hmm... I love the effect that you got with the colored pencil and the watercolors, here... which did you start with first, though? Did you lay down basics with the pencils and then paint over them for added depth, oooor...?

I started with the colour pencils first. c: And then 'blend' it together with a wash of watercolour on top.

D//: nooo no no I'm not! >//< Seriously, have you seen the difference between your comics and mine? D:\ yours are way WAY better and your anatomy is way more realistic and varied from character to character... mine sucks in comparison! ><;

(although I think I'll try the watercolor-pencil trick sometime and hope it doesn't turn to butt <|'D )

pretty good, just starting so we haven't got that far - big bad fog surrounds our village and we got called to th centre square, next step - well I guess we go out into the fog and find out what's taking all the pokemon, and we get new ones. we are still in the square at this point, but the layout sounds fun
