I've been thinking of joining The Digital War about for a while, and I really REAAAALLY want to do something with Max. I love him dearly, but haven't had the chance to use him much, the poor baby. UvU

Name: Max Muller

Nationality: Austrian

Personality: Max is a performer at heart, and years busking in Vienna's tourist district have taught him to manipulate a crowd to get exactly what he wants. He is a born leader - kind, amiable, and always the first to extend his friendship - but his show-offish tendencies do tend to rub others the wrong way.
Performers are, of course, actors too. With his charm, cunning, and obsession with appearances, it's not easy to see Max for what he really is: a scared, uneasy little boy who's lost without his father.

History: Max's family plays the street organ, and were regulars at Vienna's tourist district. His father raised him singlehandedly, until he became happily engaged to a Japanese tourist who uprooted herself to marry him. Marco, his baby brother, came next, and then Max's discovery of his own Digivice and partner Digimon.

However, a house fire two years ago took the life of his father and broke up Max's little makeshift family. Unable to handle the stress of being the new 'man of the house' and unable to relate to his stepmother, Max found himself wishing to get away from home and away from his responsibilities. He jumped on the chance to join the War effort, if it meant giving him some reprieve from home.

In an attempt to bridge the gap between them, his stepmother granted him permission to join the other Digidestined and live in the Astra emcampment, so long as he contacts her regularly to continue his homeschooled education.

Extra Information:

- Being only four when Taichi Kamiya saved the world, Max hero-worships him, and wears a matching set of goggles.

- In the house fire, Max went back to save his Digimon and not his father, unaware that the latter was unconcious and couldn't escape on his own. Discovering Digimons could always be reborn if they died has significantly worsened Max's survivor's guilt and his relationship with his partner Digimon.

- Max inherited three things from his father: an street organ for busking, a sizeable trust fund for college (to be held by his stepmother, Mikasa "Mickey" Mikoshiba), and a flair for performing. Max has treasured all three.

- Mickey is a pushover and a genuine, but shy, woman; essentially the opposite of her stepson. Max's baby brother, Marco, takes after her and is equally reserved.

- His Japanese is... awkward at best. He has a working understanding of conversational Japanese, but cannot read Kanji and depends on other people to help him.

Digimon Partner: Despite their complimentary appearances, Monkeymon is nothing like his partner. Decades older than Max, he's a bitter, crochety old fellow. He steals, posesses none of Max's gallantry or charm, and is generally cynical where his partner would be innocently idealistic. Villanous by nature, given the chance Monkeymon can and will turn on his allies to save himself, an old habit that is slowly dying since his partnership with Max. He views his partner like a son, and is slowly beginning to look out for Max's well-being as well as his own.

His species has two naturally-occurring Holy Rings on either wrist, but due to Monkeymon's enslavement by the Digimon Emperor, he's yet to regain his rings, and wears two oversized chains in their place. His fighting is also generally weak, and he relies mostly on outwitting his opponents rather than brute force.

Teemon: in training
Don't be fooled by it's cuteness; Teemon is as foul-mouthed and conniving as he'd be in any other form. The 'T' on his face is hardened and can be used to batter and block attacks.

T-totaller - Rams the opponent with his boney faceplate.

Monkeymon: rookie
Max's partner's default form.

Hat Trick - Throws his hat on the ground, creating a single duplicate of himself. The duplicate will dissolve if the hat is knocked off.
Fisticuffs - Bashes the opponent with his handcuffs.

(LOCKED) Kongmon: champion
A cross between a mandrill and a silverback gorilla, still bearing his pre-evolution's signature handcuffs. It's closely related to the Apemon species.

Empire State - Finding the highest vantage point and throwing energy missiles downwards in the shape of small planes.
Skull island - Bashes the opponent with his handcuffs (normally an uppercut aiming for the head).

(LOCKED) Krampusmon: ultimate
Based on the punishing spirit of Christmas, Krampusmon comes with a long prehensile tongue and a ruten-stick for beating. He's also creepy as fuck.

Tongue-Lashing - Whips the opponent with his long forked tongue.
Lumps of Coal - Pulls out lumps of FLAMING RED-HOT COAL from his gunny sack and throws them in quick succession like bullets.
Beater Brush - Hits the opponent repeatedly, using with his ruten-stick like a bat. The stick glows with energy to indicate it's in use.

(LOCKED) Wukongmon: ultimate
A smaller, humanlike Digimon with a glowing golden cudgel and a cloak of furskin. It flies on a golden cloud, and metes out justice with benelovence and grace.
