708whp is what it put down when I had it. I sold it back in September and it was totaled. Girl texting ran a red light from what I was told, t-boned the guy and it caught fire.

It was one of my nightmares having someone clip the rear end with that fuel pump there. Especially with someone with me. Yeah Im glad it didnt happen to me. Ill be honest, the TT Cobra was fun but I miss my white one with the stock eaton pullied. I had the most fun with that car. It was a lot more drivable (if you know what I mean), the TT was just insane. dont think I will ever have a car with that much power again. You should get some shots of your dads, Id love to see it.

Yeah accidents are the worst. I'm hoping to get a cobra once I get in the Air Force. And I know he has some photos already, i'll get them off his computer some time soon.

no reason to be jealous. Just curious, What do you have done to your mustang to need DR's? They can get awfully expensive and they dont last long at all.

i just bought it back (long story) and i need to do a lot of work to it. because right now it's just factory. and that's boring.
i do know the nitto tires don't last long, they'd be the summer tire.

Do you drag race it? If I were you I would just get some wider wheels and street tires out back. Not only would it be good for grip, it would look great and be cheaper than replacing DR's. I mean if you drag race it then I understand. I was just wondering if you are putting enough power down to even need DR's.

nope. would love to, but at this point, i don't believe that car has enough power to do much as far as drag racing...i've heard good (and bad) things about nitto tires, so i'm not sure. i've just always wanted them, whether car need it or not. (that sounds REALLY stupid.)
personally, i was looking into a gt v8 2006. but i can't really afford it. but that is absolutely my next car purchase - to get a really nice gt v8, then have my other mustang for every day.

thats the way to do it, gt for a weekend car and the v6 for a daily. Well Nitto does offer the 555(street tire) which is the same tread pattern as the 555R (the drag radial). If I were you I would opt for those.

i'll have to look into them, and how much they cost. i know they aren't cheap.
