Vision: Certainly didn't lack vision. It is definitely very clear that you intended this to be used to advertise some form of musical event or art form.
Originality: I've seen a few like this before. Few, but not many. From stalking your gallery, it is very clear that your own style has shone through on this piece of work in particular.
Technique: Good use of cross hatching, bringing a sense of depth to the image. If there is only one thing I can criticise at all, it is the fact that the bird doesn't seem as realistic as the rest of it. Did you use a reference when you drew it?
Impact: Maybe it's because I'm a Classical-music nut, but I was awestruck when I first saw this. A true masterpiece.
Overall: If the teachers at your school decide not to use your design, they're crazy. I hope that you continue to produce more of your excellent work. ^^

This piece is gorgeously drawn. I have to say, I am very envious of your talent. Also, that I didn't think of drawing this first... I love the concept and the style you've chosen. I've always been a fan of sketches and not so much an already completely colored work. It lets the imagination come into play. Being both an artist and a violinist myself, I especially love the way you've envisioned it. New out of the old. Wonderfully executed. Beautiful. Simplistic yet fairly elaborate in detail. You also have very good proportions. I give you an A+ for your work. ^_^

The concept is great and very well executed. The flower growing through the f-hole shows how long that violin has been sitting there, neglected like some obscure old classical piece. The songbird appears to have discovered this relic and is waiting for someone to make music with it. Perfectly suited for spring concert cover art.
