BACKGROUND
Born in Kyoto and coming from a rather financially modest family of hard working parents and an older sister training to become a doctor, Mio always dreamed of doing something big. Her ambition of becoming a hero started when she was a little girl, when her sister named Naiko (who had also wanted to become a hero) failed to manifest her quirk. Naiko’s quirk which was believed to have been inherited from her grandfather, was supposed to be water control, but she barely could do so, no matter how hard she tried. Naiko suffered greatly because of that, feeling like she was inferior, and that’s when Mio promised her she would be a hero for her. Her sister since then put all of her hope in Mio and has been supporting her constantly, while she started dabbling into the medical field, soon discovering her passion. It took a while for Mio to manifest her quirk, as controlling threads is definitely not what anyone would have thought about. She discovered her quirk while she was watching her mom sew one day; as she was analyzing her mom’s technique and the way the colorful thread was creating beautiful patterns, all of a sudden the thread started moving seemingly all on its own and within minutes, the piece of tapestry was completed, to her mom’s utter shock.

Personality: Mio is quite the flirty type, but she is also mature and responsible. She can come off rather mean/rude sometimes but her intentions are almost always good, as she is very kind hearted. She cares deeply about her friends and loved ones and will do anything to protect them even if when they hang out she seems not to give a damn. She is also usually rather calm, but when annoyed all hell breaks loose lmao
She is very determined to achieve her dream and to make the best use of her quirk, which is why she never misses school and is at the top of her class.
Because of coming from a middle class working family and never having a lot of money, quite in a compensatory way, Mio has a taste for the finer things in life, often wandering around all kinds of big brand shops and selecting the prettiest items she can find. Description: Manipulating threads and hair(including her own) at will, allowing her to wrap them around enemies’ bodies, efficiently trapping them, also causing more or less severe cuts. Her quirk makes her great in ambush type missions, as well as providing great support. She keeps threads in the tiny capsules on the knuckles of her gloves.
Moves:
Body entrapment: pretty self explanatory, releases thread strings that get wrapped around the enemy’s body (legs and arms especially), making them completely unable to move
String blades: strengthens the grip of her thread really tightly around the enemy’s body/limb or simply brushing them against their skin causing severe cuts or even breaking limbs
Hair manipulation: uses hair to grab things or even slap people lmao (she rarely ever uses it tho as it requires controlling so many hairs at once which is still difficult for her to do)

Disatvantages: since her power is pretty much telekinetic, she can become mentally exhausted or even dizzy after using it for too long as it requires very strong concentration
