Well Since just about everyone on the internet is complaining about them I got to start wondering if any of my characters were mary sues and Joshein kind of is (Half yes and half no). She's certainly not perfect but she's my self portrait character. More accurately she's a cartoonification of me her nuances are amplified for appeal this means her good points (like a good sense of right and wrong) and her bad (her tendency toward violence and insensitivity) And also all her quirks for example she never wears clothes I myself have not worn. People ought to write what they know I think, and as far as characters, who do you know better than yourself? It's when you are not aware of your own faults that your self portrait becomes a mary sue (Or gary stu... whatever the case may be).
