Yeah, this is a page for a scene that prolly won't occur (or will it?) in the comic I'm working on (Echo). I'll be adding another page (or two) when I can finish it to complete the sequence. I only made this to practice really making a comic page, since I haven't actually finished one in a loooong time (years).

This is Arial (main protagonist) encountering the big baddie who doesn't have a name yet.

Everything was done digitally from sketch to finish, and I made all the "tones" myself in Painter. (Take that, Photoshop!)

Still not quite happy with the third panel, but this was for practice, so hey. There are a lot of little things in this that bother me--oh well.

Making that background tone in the second panel was a rather hellish process. I'm surprised I didn't give up, but I'm glad I didn't.

This is the one spring break project I managed to finish. I would do a little dance, but I've magically come down with a cold in the last two days of freedom left, which really sucks. ;_;

Media: Corel Painter 8--Mixed
Layers: Holy crud. I just know there are over 60 regular layers. I'm not counting them all!
Time: Several hours spread out over a coupla days
