Description Due to its average size and low maintenance cost, the Beldon-class gas scavengers were mostly owned and operated by small companies, as the ships simply didn't have the capacity to be relevant enough for the big galactic players. It wasn't uncommon to see half a dozen Beldons from as many different companies farming a single planet at the same time, after the owners had purchased their official licenses from the local authorities. Despite their good profits, however, the crews rarely liked their jobs. The reason: mind-nomming boredom. With nothing but the dense clouds around them, the constant noise of the humming collectors and the hull bending and twisting under the high atmospheric pressure, and having to perform exactly the same maneuvers for several days or weeks, the ships quickly burned out their crews at an alarming rate. Many captains tried to mitigate the problem by adding more ammenities for the crew, but even that fell flat on its face all too often. As a result, the ships ended up with a crew only made of the most stoical and least demanding spacefarers of the galaxy. A common saying which emerged from these crews was "a die-hard like a Beldon miner", which refered to the crews' habit of going for another run even if their tanks were filled to the brim, the hull started to break apart and the repulsorlift arrays were running hot just to get that last bit of gas to fullfill the weekly quota.
