This is not in game and is only edited video footage with Wario placed in it. I think what you said goes with this perfectly, haha. Originally I wanted to do something else with it, but I then I remembered I made no back sprites.

He was going to jump on the pipe after breaking the block, and possibly go down the pipe if I managed to figure out how to mimic the same way they do in game.

I've recorded a short clip of Mario smashing the block with a hammer, did some edits in an animation program to make Mario invisible. I recreated the shadow and placed it where I wanted him to go, and then pasted Wario in each frame of the video in a way he'd look like he's breaking the block.
Was a first time with video editing for me, so you can probably spot some mistakes if you look closely.
