Description
The Long-Allen Bridge over the Atchafalaya River between Berwick and Morgan City
This bridge was completed in 1933, during O.K. Allen's tenure as governor and it began during Huey Long's term, hence the name. Also known as the LA-182 bridge, it is still in service today, although the newer Hwy 90 bridge runs parallel to it nearby (visible in the background).
