Description Here is my latest drawing I made yesterday: Bf 109 E4 during the battle of britain.
As some know my fave version of the 109 is the E4 and after that its G10 but enough of that.

Here it is easier to see the improvment on the clouds I wrote about in my previous upload.

This Me 109 has the classic smalldragon logo and is somewhere above Dover and just got out from an engagement with a Spitfire. Can add finding a reference of a burning spitfire was harder than I thought.

The me 109 and Spitfire I used photos as reference and not much from my mind so its not my designs on the airplanes, although the markings and logos are fiction.

Is it just me or are you really improving in doing traditional pencil art?

Could be, but I blame it on using better reference pictures and using tools to get the sizes and stuff correct, but also using larger papers and trying to do more realistic and backgrounds to my drawings now

I see and kind of believing you, since I too had spotted that my own digitals go much better when drawing stuff on a much larger canvas.

The drawing is so awesome. Do you know who the pilot/ the squadron is?

Thank you and that you like it so. Check it out on redbubble if you want a real copy of it, a link is in the info section.
Well I made some alterations and own ideas to it so I doubt it existed for real but it belonged to the: 1 Jagdgeswader (1JG) They used the snake/dragon logo.
If you have ideas for another drawing of an airplane, let me know

Great looking picture, The 109E and earlier models were always among my favourite planes.

Wow great I really like this.

Makes me wonder if the tommy can get out alive if he crashes into the sea.

IΒ΄m happy to hear you like this one, was slight worried some people would dislike seeing a bf 109 drawing.
Its here I did my new way of drawing clouds fully as I wanted.

Well in my mind he would bail out long before it crashes in the water so would probably survive and fight another day, but I leave it up to each viewer to decide

Oh the fighters had that option back then? I didn't know. Always thought in ww2 the planes would not permit that.

They could jump out and parachute at any time in those, spitfire and hurricanes had even what I call a side door so pretty easy
Germans later invented the rocket chair and the it was even easier.

In WW1 they didnt have parachutes so only option was to land or shot yourself if your plane started to burn, in some cases they gave parachutes to important pilots but it was not normal since they were afraid if the pilots had the option to bail out they would chicken out for anything and the airplanes would been lost for that reason.
