Description The sky had turned a pale yellow as dawn approached, with birds starting to fly out in search of food, the sun poking out from the horizon, and someone shaking Jesse in his bed.

"Wake up Jesse! We're starting our training today! Get UP!"
Jesse woke startled by the yells and immediately punched the boy in the face, sending him backward into the wall.
"Oh sorry Jeff," Jesse replied, "I didn't mean to punch you so hard, you just startled me."
"Yeah, well, next time warn me before you punch me in the face. I swear you almost broke my nose."
Jesse sat up in his bed and looked around. Jeff was starting to stand up, holding his hand over his nose from his punch. His desk was clear of anything except the message transmitter. Outside he could see the first rays of the dawn sun starting to warm the planet. Jesse then took a long look at Jeff so he would recognize him on sight so as to not punch him in the near future. Jeff was a tall boy, about Five-seven, with green eyes, medium length yellow hair spiked up in the front to look like something exploded in his face, fair white skin, and a small mischievous look in his eyes. He was wearing a yellow shirt to match with his hair, and the Freelancer assigned shorts for training, along with some dark grey shoes.
Jesse himself was the same height as Jeff, kinda pale white skin, with short dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a pair of glasses was on his desk. He got out of bed and started to dress himself. Afterward he had a plain short-sleeved black shirt on, the standard assigned shorts, dark black shoes, his glasses, and his dog-tags. He noticed that Jeff wasn't wearing his.
"Hey Jeff, where's your dog-tags?" Jesse asked.
"We don't really need them do we?" Jeff replied, "I mean it's just training right?"
"Well, you should still put them on just in case."
"Fine."

As Jeff looked for his dog-tags around the room, someone knocked on their door. As Jesse opened to see who it is, a girl about the same age pushed him aside and barged into the room.
"What the hell are you two doing?!?" she yelled, "We're going to be late for training if you slackers don't hurry up. GET MOVING!" and with that she ran out the door towards the training grounds.
"Wow," Jeff stated after she left, "she might have been annoying but you have to admit, he was kinda hot right Jesse?"
"Shut up Jeff." Jesse replied with annoyance in his voice.
"Oh, right I forgot. You already have a girl back home don't you? Well, it not like she's going to know what you do here. You could at least try to-"Jesse cut Jeff off by hitting him in the back of his head with a book Jesse got from the desk drawer.
"I said," Jesse started, "SHUT UP JEFF!" He yelled as he stormed out of the dorm towards the training grounds.

As Jesse walked to his destination he looked around the training facility. He saw the mess hall which was apparently empty, and wondered when he would be allowed to eat breakfast. He saw the huge lake next to the barracks, gleaming with the sunlight hitting it. As he was marveling at the tranquil beauty, he failed to notice someone in front of him and walked right into them.
"Hey watch it," said the girl, "You should watch where you're going. Hey, aren't you that slacker I was just telling to hurry up?"
"I'm no slacker, but yes. Why? Are you on my team?" Jesse replied.
"Yeah, don't you remember me from orientation? I'm Karin."
Jesse stared at the girl in front of him trying to remember. She was shorter than him, probably five-four, short spiky red hair, olive skin tone, brown eyes, and wearing a purple shirt along with standard shorts, and purple shoes. As he was looking Karin pulled her fist back and tried to punch Jesse. But he dodged and countered by grabbing her arm and threw her over his shoulder using her own kinetic energy against her.
"What the hell are you trying to punch me for?" Jesse asked confusion spreading across his face. As Karin stood back up, her face red, she replied, "I thought you were staring at my chest."
"Me? No, I'm not that type of person. I was merely trying to remember you, and hopefully recognize you so I would remember you in the future."
"So you weren't staring at my chest?"
"Nope."
"Well, you could at least feign a little interest so you don't hurt my feelings." She said, a little sad.
"Well sorry, but I've already got someone back home, so I don't notice other girls very well, and I don't stare at their chests either. I'm not a perv."
"Well ok then. I'm sorry for trying to punch you."
"I'm sorry we're almost late. I'd better get running now, so bye!"
Jesse started sprinting towards the training grounds, leaving Karin to wonder about this weird guy that she would have to get along with for a while. As she realized that she was thinking of him her face reddened and she shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. She then started running to catch up with him before she was late too.
