The explanation is easy: you start with a summer sun, than melt it into a robot and than, with a pencil of humanity, put a little wonder in its eye and than the sparkling of life. Joking of course, but you don't need English to make a good tutorial. After all, just looking at your sketches is a good tut also.
As pointed out in another comment, i love the simplicity of your work-flow. Well done and thanks for sharing!

My eyes would probably turn out more consistant doing it something like that, though... (actually, I don't know why I don't measure things out. I've heard of all the proportions several times)
How would it work if he's not facing front, though? Doing it that way would make that more complicated, wouldn't it?
