It's been a few weeks since I drew this. I actually think it was Thanksgiving weekend when I finished this.
So here's Ragnair; it's been a while since I've drawn him.
Kinda took a different take on this picture. Tried to accent the lighter highlights in his fur, along with trying to make it look like there was some snow clinging to areas of his fur.
Not quite sure how many layers, but I know it was over 50 or something...
Background image from Google, then blurred and edited around a bit. Also, the tree stump is from some pic of Google.
Crits, advice, and opinions, please.
Also, sorry for my lack of submitted art D: School's been keeping me busy.

Hi there, I was wondering, what was the name of the song that played on Ragnair's page oh so long ago? (If you remember).
A weird question, I know.. XD It's just I always used to have it play in the background and found it really peaceful, ehe. But the file broke. D:

The first song which played on it (from like...wow....4 years ago???) was from the movie soundtrack from "Millions"
The song that was on the page after that was called "Prelude" (or something. it was a piano piece) from a collection of songs on a 2-set CD pack called "Narada"

And oh! Oops, yeah. I definately see that, now that you mention it. The tree stump was from a different picture. I tried to get the stump's bark color to match that of the standing trees, but it wasn't exactly...working out XD;
I didn't really know how else to position him, though. I had already finished his ENTIRE body, fur and all, and it looked really odd just having him on the ground, so I photoshopped in a bigass tree stump XD
But thanks for pointing that out! I'll try and make the foreground fit in better with the background next time ;D

ohh this is gorgeousss. i almost thought he was actually part of the photograph, for about 10 minutes, until i realized that wolves don't.. have wings. XD;
I love the snow clinging to him, it's a wonderful touch that many people just. skip! and the fur texture goes well with all the detail. and it's just a wintry, wonderful picture, the peaceful kind that make you glad you're inside but make you wish you were out there too.

uh, crits: the tail bends a bit sharply, and the bends on the two sides of it don't quite match up. i'm also not sure if his shoulder should be visible with this pose? but in any case, i don't see it
it took me about 20 minutes to type this because i was too busy scrolling up and dropping my jaw repeatedly. i mean whoa! i love. love. love this piece; it's the details that make it. fav'd. <3

And yeah, I can see what you mean with the tail. I was thinking about how the tips of cats' tails will flicker sometimes, while the main body of the tail remains still; I'm not sure if it's that way with wolves, though XD; Oooops.

Ragnair is awesome. I saw his new page and totally wanted to neomail you, but. xD It'd be kind of odd. "LOLSHAY RAGNAIR IS SO SEXY YEAH BY THE WAY IT'S KIKI YEAH HI."
You pulled off the snow excellently, mmyes. And he just looks so soft.
I definitely like the way you made the highlights speak for the fur texture, it's gorgeous. Every tiem you draw realism I spazz. xD You've got all these tricks. It's great.
