Description
I've heard talk of people wanting to see speculative fan art of what it will look like when the HS kids encounter the trolls for the first time. So I did that --- based on ANIME STEREOTYPES!John's off of shounen anime, early 00's.
Rose is shoujo manga heroine, 70'sish.
Dave's a 70's shoujo Mr. Cool Guy.
And Jade's a nerdy lackey found pretty much in everything!
And GA's the aloof cool girl, and Karkat has this Bleach/Deathnote rip-off thing going on, but I KINDA STOPPED CARING after a while. See? There's like three, four hands unfinished.
I started this just when AA was shown but I felt like depicting the Trolls we have a better understanding of. Maybe when they're all shown I'll add them in and make this half-decent, but probably not! I spent too much time half-assing this as it is!

Well "The Knight of Time" does sound like a Magical Knight kind of series, so it's not much of a stretch. I really like the shading on Dave's puppetsuit.

Dave seems to embody or at least project a lot of what anime cool guys are billed for these days, so I thought it'd be too easy (or on the other hand, too hard) to depict him as such. Since this was already far into ridiculous territory, it seemed I might as well go retro with him, and in the end all I could do was try to give him brown-tinted aviators.
But thanks! I have this unexplainable itch to do a photoshop of Dave just focusing on his plush suit. Like, make it all detailed, with the light hitting the stray fibers...I don't know what's wrong with me.

Actually in that case it's more the lack of details therein. Andrew tends to leave a lot to the imagination, which can be frustrating since I like precision and details.

I can relate to that, too. I'm working on the Knight pieces right now, but they're only partially shown in the WV: Rise Up flash, so I have to fill a lot of gaps myself.
