Yeah, She is indeed laughing in this picture, nice to know I was able to translate that over well enough. Here's a tip; be wary of drawing from calendars. I noticed more than once that certain parts were off because of the stupid bend of the calendar (I should really start using grids more often).

I actually didn't like her eyes in this picture - They were awfully beady black and I felt that they didn't have enough detail in them...so I tried to lighten some portions up to see a little more of the iris. Predictabley, it looked plain wrong , so I nixed it and let it go, lol.

Lot's of work went into that hair - I wanted to get as many strands as possible. Even though there were areas that were just insanely too hard to pull off, I am happy with the result. And, you have no idea how nice it is to receive compliments on teeth because I have quite the history of drawing those rather poorly. Again, Thanks a lot for all the love!

I was giggling a little about the "beady-black" eyes thing--I can totally relate! It's interesting sometimes how we desire to alter something from the reference we're using, only to discover that it totally changes the entire piece... That's art, I suppose--that and accepting that what attracts us to the reference is what makes it special in the first place!

Everything about this is magnificent (**is looking again**)--I can't gush enough about the hair, and especially the mood--joyous is the word that comes to mind here...it's marvelous the way you've conveyed her joy! It is SO fabulous to see new work from you again--so very glad to see it!

Thank you! I've always loved details. I like the fact that the addition of something so minute can make all the difference, and I sort of find the process of adding them in kinda fun and challenging.

She looks older, you say? I really hope that isn't due to my attempt on detailing the skin. I did wonder if I might have done too much on the wrinkles area around her eyes and cheek on the right side there. It was really hard to gauge.

ah dont worry! its still really good honest! i do like your detail but maybe its a tensy bit too much but that is just my opinion. im impressed with the proportions thats for sure that is the thing i always get wrong!
