The next day, before the metal shop class began for Rio, he came in early to help prepare things. However, when he came in, Mr. Thronson was looking over some papers at his desk. he was putting down the ones he had finished reading onto the table, and his expression was one of someone absolutely baffled.
"Hey, teach." Rio said as he walked over, "What's going on? The principle got a beef with the smith's club?"
Mr. Thronson slowly looked at him, his shocked expression remaining as he looked to the young stallion, "No...I-in fact it's the opposite. According to what's here, he's going to make exceptions for us to make historical weapons for the shop at the renaissance fair. And there's some other stuff. It's basically okay for us to do all the stuff students were hoping for."
Rio's eyes went wide looking to him, "Are you serious?" He stepped around the desk to try and see the other papers, "So, out of nowhere, he just changed his mind and let us go forward with making weapons and all that?"
"Yes, so long as the majority of them are based off actual weapons from history." Mr. Thronson said, "Things from anime or pop culture is going to be not allowed."
"Oh that should be interesting, but I like the challenge." Rio raised his arms a bit, pumped up by the new changes, "This is gonna be awesome!" He laughed triumphant and took a breath, "This changes everything, we're going to do some of the coolest stuff."
"How is this even possible?" Mr. Thronson set the papers down on his desk and looked down at them, then he looked to Rio, "Did you have something to do wit this? You talked before about dealing with this issue."
"I just talked with some people who would try to talk with him." Rio said, "Something like that, you know?" he smiled to him, "So... with that aside, what do you need help with? Class is gonna start in a few minutes."
"Well, I will need the help now." Mr. Thronson said and grabbed a clipboard with papers on it, "Can you set out the chairs and check on the tools?"
"You got it boss." Rio said and ran for the chair stacks, "What are you going at over there, by the way?"
"I'll have to see if I can afford metals to do our blacksmithing for the club."
